Art Update

Hello friends,

My work is currently being exhibited at Museo Showroom in the Crossroads Arts District and Thornhill Gallery at Avila University. Both of these exhibitions are open to visitors Monday through Friday from now until late March. The reception at Avila will take place Wednesday, February 23rd from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The reception at Museo will take place Friday, March 4th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. I’ll send out a reminder closer to these dates.

I’m planning a second appearance on ArtSpeak Radio KKFI 90.1FM. This will be a live radio interview that will take place on February 16th at 12:00 PM. We will discuss my recent work and current exhibitions.

For the time being, I’ve decided to hold off on applying to grad school and stay in Kansas City. I will be taking advantage of a full-time job offer that was presented to me just before my graduate applications were due. This was a difficult decision to make but I gave it a lot of thought, and I feel that it is the best thing for me at this time.

Through the graduate school application process, I rewrote my artist statement. It’s a little bit longer now and speaks to my new body of work, Spiritual Renderings. It’s written with an academic focus and it’s better articulated than my previous statements. I’ve attached it at the bottom of this letter if you’re interested in reading it. I’ve also attached a sneak peek of the exhibition at Museo.
