Art Update

Hello friends,

I hope all is well. I have a few art updates for you.

I gave an artist talk and firework art demonstration for the AP painting, ceramics and art portfolio classes at Olathe South High School and it could not have gone better! The instructors all expressed a desire to bring students to my studio again next semester. I plan on sharing this event and the documentation of it with other high school art instructors, in hopes that they will also be interested in taking a field trip to my studio. I’d like to one day make this a regular source of income.

I recently completed my first gig as the lead set designer for KC Melting Pot Theater. I built the stage and created a large art installation for the backdrop. Working with the director, Lynn King, was a wonderful experience. Opening night is this Friday December 6th at Just Off Broadway Theater. The show runs through December 15th.

Big thank you to my friend Kendall Hammond! He took all the photographs at the artist talk/demonstration and was my assistant through-out most of the set design process. I couldn’t have done it without him!

I have my artwork in two shows this first Friday. I have two pieces at Buttonwood Art Space and two pieces at InterUrban ArtHouse.

I am also booked for a solo show at the KCKPL Fine Art Gallery in November 2020.
